Package: debconf Version: 1.5.57 Severity: normal
So I'm running "GNOME on Wayland" and now the Debconf Graphical User Interface does not show up. This seems to be because of the limitation Wayland has, as it does not support X11 like Forwarding. The FAQ on Wayland has some ideas, but I don't think anything is readily available. http://wayland.freedesktop.org/faq.html#heading_toc_j_7 -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.1.6+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IN.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_IN.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages debconf depends on: ii perl-base 5.20.2-6 Versions of packages debconf recommends: ii apt-utils 1.0.10.2 ii debconf-i18n 1.5.57 Versions of packages debconf suggests: pn debconf-doc <none> ii debconf-utils 1.5.57 ii dialog 1.2-20150528-1 ii libgtk2-perl 2:1.2495-1 pn libnet-ldap-perl <none> pn libqtcore4-perl <none> pn libqtgui4-perl <none> pn libterm-readline-gnu-perl <none> ii perl 5.20.2-6 ii whiptail 0.52.18-1 -- debconf information: debconf-apt-progress/info: debconf-apt-progress/title: * debconf/priority: low debconf-apt-progress/media-change: * debconf/frontend: Gnome debconf-apt-progress/preparing:
