This issue exists in easychem 0.6-8(debian jessie) with ghostscript 9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u1.
After upgrading ghostscript to 9.16-dfsg-2 all the export option works except 'EPS, optimized for size(.eps)'. It creates an eps file. On opening the exporting it gets closed immediately.
