Currently I have to either manually type in the URL, leave aptitude with ^C to make selecting text work, or to avoid aptitude completely. The description, maintainer EMail address and other text cannot be selected by the left button, either. Surely this could be improved.
So is the solution Shift + Mouse Select satisfactory? I am marking this as +moreinfo in the meantime. And frankly I'd leave the bug open in the case that it's useful for other people who find the same problem (maybe they want to submit a bug report and see the solution), but I don't think that this is going to be implemented in other way at least in the near future.
