Anibal, When we added the DM status, it was said that it was OK to apply directly for being a DD. I'm often disappointed to see that what was written at the time has been completely forgotten, and that now, for many DDs, it seems like it's becoming mandatory to become a DM first. In the case of Alexandre, I think he's a good fit for becoming a DD directly. He show me he's capable of doing good packages without any overlook. Please let this happen, he's going to be an asset for Debian. Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo)
