Package: nut Version: 2.0.1-3 Severity: important Hi,
I have an MGE ellipse 1200 and I've connected it serialy. It seems that the data is about always stale. My /etc/nut/ups.conf: [myups] driver = mge-shut port = /dev/ttyS0 upsc shows those: driver.name: mge-shut driver.parameter.port: /dev/ttyS0 driver.version: 2.0.1 driver.version.internal: 0.60 [...] ups.mfr: MGE UPS SYSTEMS ups.model: ellipse 1200 >From the daemon.log file: Dec 30 19:50:55 intrepid upsd[2073]: UPS [myups] data is no longer stale Dec 30 19:51:11 intrepid upsd[2073]: Data for UPS [myups] is stale - check driver Dec 30 19:56:14 intrepid upsd[2073]: UPS [myups] data is no longer stale Dec 30 19:56:30 intrepid upsd[2073]: Data for UPS [myups] is stale - check driver Dec 30 20:01:34 intrepid upsd[2073]: UPS [myups] data is no longer stale Dec 30 20:01:50 intrepid upsd[2073]: Data for UPS [myups] is stale - check driver Dec 30 20:06:53 intrepid upsd[2073]: UPS [myups] data is no longer stale Dec 30 20:07:09 intrepid upsd[2073]: Data for UPS [myups] is stale - check driver It's doing this about every 5 minutes. It's more stale than not. I don't think setting maxage higher is going to solve anything since the data is stale for 5 minutes. And about 15 seconds later it's stale again.
