Technically, the buggy component is limited to /usr/bin/dnscache (in both bin:djbdns and bin:dbndns, IIRC). The other utilities and the authoritative-only nameserver component /usr/bin/tinydns that are shipped in the djbdns package are still usable independently from dnscache and could be kept in the archive if dnscache were removed from the binary packages.
