When I attach a phone in MTP mode, the popup appears on the Linux desktop with the options "Open with Files" and "Eject" There is no "Open with Shotwell" option. If I change my phone from MTP to PTP mode and then connect it to the PC again, Shotwell does appear, immediately, there is no popup asking me if I want to "Open with Files" or any other choice. Another user told me Shotwell was working fine for him on wheezy but he is missing the "Open with Shotwell" option since going to jessie and it is not clear what he needs to do. I'm not sure which mode the other user enabled (MTP or PTP) but it is unlikely he changed anything in the phone. Are there any extra steps needed to enable MTP support or are there known regressions?
