This actually looks like #557960. Says it was fixed several years ago but may need fixing again. Inside screen (no byobu necessary, doesn't matter what $SHELL): $ python2 /usr/share/doc/python-newt/examples/peanuts.py Segmentation fault Agree? -- mike
