Hello, Yes, work is underway to transition perl 5.22 to unstable; see <https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=796345>. It's expected to transition quite soon now, so at this point the cost of backporting these fixes to perl 5.20 would far outweigh the benefits. Cheers, Dominic.
