Then why didn't you report this issue in the upstream bug tracker [1] in the first place? Now someone else has to do that for you and forward the bug report upstream which just adds unnecessary noise in the Debian BTS and delays the overall process of actually fixing this bug. For the future: If you realize it's an upstream bug, please report it upstream. This increases the chance that the bug will be fixed faster or even at all.
