Since this bug is only of severity normal, there's little hope to get
this acknowledged by the release team.
Maybe open a new bug, which describes exactly what is not working for
you when using 040-1. Does your system do not boot when using dracut?
My system does not boot normally after upgrade to Jessie. It can,
however, boot after some not quite well determined manipulations. In
particular, it would boot from HDD after booting first from a rescue DVD
and updating grub, but the second reboot from HDD causes again the same
symptoms which I describe below.
I am not quite sure it is related solely to dracut, but the description
of this bug lead me to assume it can be at least partial cause.
My boot problems begin "Failed to Start Load Kernel Modules", which is
probably related to systemd.
Then I see failures to mount the HDD file systems with the messages like
"systemd-modules-load.service: main process exited, code=exited,
status=1/FAILURE"
Then there appears a message
"... Cannot add dependency job for unit dracut-shutdown.service,
ignoring: Unit dracut-shutdown.service failed to load: No such file or
directory."
It is the latter one which is probably related to this dracut bug.
Finally, the system suggests entering the maintenance shell where I am
able to mount all drives manually but exiting this shell does not lead
to continued booting, and again a rescue disk is needed.
Best regards
Andrei
