Package: lightdm-gtk-greeter Version: 1.8.5-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
With greeter-hide-users=true in lightdm.conf, there are two unlabeled lines to be seen in the greeter: a focused username input line and a passwort entry line. The latter is showing the placeholder "Enter your password". The user entry line is showing no text, just the cursor. The "Enter your password" label can easily been mistaken as label for the username entry field, forging the user to enter the password there. The problem is noted in https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/unstable/GtkEntry.html as follows: "Note that since the placeholder text gets removed when the entry received focus, using this feature is a bit problematic if the entry is given the initial focus in a window. Sometimes this can be worked around by delaying the initial focus setting until the first key event arrives." I would expect unambiguous labels at both lines, as it was in the wheezy version (1.1.6, with gtk2).
