Well, that part was not done on purpose. :) Anyway, I agree the
message is not very helpful, and I'm fixing this for dpkg 1.18.3, I'll
also turn it into a warning.

debian-policy does not allow such month names anyway, so you should
really be fixing this in the packages themselves anyway.
