Package: freedombox-setup Version: 0.5 Severity: normal Currently the only known (to us) way to have Wifi without proprietary firmware on all hardware platform we support is to add a AR9271 based USB Wifi adapter and install the firmware for it. Although this firmware is free, as in freedom, it packaged in Debian as non-free. There is a bug to get this into firmware-linux-free (#711470).
Assist with packaging it in main repository or explore an alternative approach such as downloading it during setup process. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, armhf Kernel: Linux 4.0.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
