Subject: uim-anthy depends on a too generic version of uim-common Package: uim-anthy Version: 1:0.4.9.1-1 Severity: normal
*** Please type your report below this line *** I had an old version installed of uim-common, either uim-common_1%3a0.4.6final1-3_all.deb or uim-common_1%3a0.4.7-1_all.deb and now tried to install uim-anthy. The installation script executed by dpkg checks for uim-module-manager.scm, doesn't find it, and dies. This rendered my dpkg system in quite an unusable state. My sullution was to (forcefully) install a newly gotten uim-common version, after which the installation of uim-anthy didn't complain anymore. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.14-2-amd64-k8 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages uim-anthy depends on: ii anthy 6724-1 A Japanese input method (backend, ii libc6 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libuim0 1:0.4.9.1-1 Simple, secure, and flexible input ii uim-common 1:0.4.9.1-1 Common files for uim ii uim-utils 1:0.4.9.1-1 Utilities for uim uim-anthy recommends no packages. -- no debconf information Report will be sent to "Debian Bug Tracking System" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
