Package: php-auth-sasl Version: 1.0.6-1 The package php-auth-sasl incorrectly depends on php5 when it should probably only depend on php-pear.
This incorrect dependency causes, by default, libapache2-mod-php5 to be installed with the metapackage php5 which is unnecessary.
