Package: vlan Version: 1.9-1 Severity: minor The long description says:
You need a VLAN kernel for this. Kernel versions < 2.4.14 need to be patched. Currently the VLAN patch is only supported for 2.4 kernels. This is quite confusing. I guess when it was written the implication that 2.2 was not supported was clear, but in the days of 2.6, this sentence is quite unclear: does it mean only 2.4 will work, but 2.6 will not? No, it doesn't, but it's not clear. Can you please rephrase it. Thanks. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages vlan depends on: ii iproute 20041019-4 Professional tools to control the ii libc6 2.3.5-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an vlan recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
