As mariadb-10.0 packaging is based on mysql-5.6 packaging (since about 2 years ago when Nicolas Bamber et al had put a lot of effort in making it much better than the mysql-5.5 packaging), all packaging bugs that have been fixed in mariadb-10.0 should be reviewed and ported over to mysql-5.6.
