As Jefferson Cowart suggests, I also started seeing "spamd" syslog messages turn into "check" messages when I installed razor. Both spamd and razor from current backports.org tree.
I didn't manage to have razor identify a message as spam that another box with a somewhat older razor did (correctly) mark as spam, so for now I uninstalled razor, restarted spamd and am seeing "spamd" messages in syslog again. Right now I'm busy with another 'bug' in spamassassin which I hope to report in a few hours. After that I'll try to take a look into razor.
