When I plug my Mad Catz Rat 7 mouse, I can't click on everything outside the currently focused window. The application with focus still accept mouse clicks, but every other apps or desktop manager elements ignores clicks. If I switch to another TTY screen then switch back to my desktop, everything works fine.
