Package: printtool
version: 4.5-9

printtool exposes a strange inability to select specific printers.
While most that I try go through, HP DeskJet 840/842 dies with

bad listbox index "": must be active, anchor, end, @x,y, or a number
bad listbox index "": must be active, anchor, end, @x,y, or a number
   while executing
".sf.f6.list get $colindex"
   (procedure "LOCAL_select_filter" line 466)
   invoked from within
"LOCAL_select_filter .e.v10"
   invoked from within
".e.autofilter invoke"
   ("uplevel" body line 1)
   invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]"
   (procedure "tkButtonUp" line 7)
   invoked from within
"tkButtonUp .e.autofilter
"
   (command bound to event)

(I know that printtool is an 'old' tool; but still my preferred one: There is no alternative to it. There was a reasonable development done by lprng, but this also has disappeared from the packages. cups is completely overdone and bloat. And, in most cases, works worse for me than printtool.)
