Package: rsync Version: 2.6.4-6 Severity: normal Tags: patch
this bug is fixed in upstream release 2.6.5 (and presumably also in the latest upstream release, 2.6.6) from rsync.samba.org Quote from the changelog for 2.6.5 - Fixed a case where rsync would erroneously delete some files and then re-transfer them when the options --relative (-R) and --recursive (-r) were both enabled (along with --delete) and a source path had a trailing slash. This bug makes rsync backups (using e.g. the rsnapshot program) larger than they need to be. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-powerpc Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages rsync depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libpopt0 1.7-5 lib for parsing cmdline parameters -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
