martintxo@fundy:~$ /usr/bin/how-can-i-help /usr/bin/how-can-i-help:145:in `split': invalid byte sequence in UTF-8 (ArgumentError) from /usr/bin/how-can-i-help:145:in `<main>' fundy:/home/martintxo# /usr/bin/how-can-i-help /usr/bin/how-can-i-help:145:in `split': invalid byte sequence in UTF-8 (ArgumentError) from /usr/bin/how-can-i-help:145:in `<main>' When using apt-get, at the end, I get always the same error from how-can-i-help. My locales: martintxo@fundy:~$ locale LANG=eu_ES.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=eu_ES:eu:es_ES:es:en_US:en LC_CTYPE="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_TIME="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_NAME="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="eu_ES.UTF-8" LC_ALL=eu_ES.UTF-8 In "dpkg-reconfigure locales" I have marked: en_GB.UTF-8 UTF-8 en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8 es_ES.UTF-8 UTF-8 eu_ES.UTF-8 UTF-8 In my country we use two languages: spanish (es) and basque (eu). I have too english just in case. That's all from me. I can made some other test if needed. I don't know well how works how-can-i-help, but it seems a localization bug (for the UTF-8 reference) ...
