Looking at popcon there are 28 installs of the runtime and 10 of the -dev package, and the trend is a steady decline: https://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=wv2 I was already thinking I should request removal before stretch, so let's just drop it now and have one fewer library to worry about for this transition.
