Maybe it needs fixes on both sides :) . Anyways, I will investigate
further, but I am currently short on time. Probably the weekend will see
progress.

I have the feeling it is both.

Well, my first try in an sid lxc container did NOT result in the error,
but indeed in my pbuilder sid it does. As said, I will try debugging
this further in the weekend.
