As mentioned earlier, I can only see whether things work as I expect on fairly 'normal' Debian i386 systems. From a high user-level p.o.v., I'm sufficiently satisfied with having a way for /usr/bin/stat to give me free diskspace -- for exactly by having both 'block size (%S)' and 'available blocks' (already available). I assume things (%S) are documented and working, so further I don't think I can be of much help in assisting this.
