Package: cinnamon Version: 2.2.16-5 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I updated (via apt-get) to the most recent version of Cinnamon yesterday, and the desktop environment will no longer properly load in my computer. When I try and start Cinnamon, it will tell me that it did not properly load, giving me the option to restart Cinnamon or to go to Fallback. Clicking on the restart button keeps on bringing the prompt up, and so my only option is Fallback. In this case, I have great difficulty in using Cinnamon as the applications menu is unavailable (instead I just get gray bars at the top and bottom of the screen), though I can open files that are on my desktop without a problem, and can pull open various programs via Terminal. Trying to uninstall and reinstall the package did not fix the problem. Strangely, I did not find any relevant errors in the .xsession-errors file. Is there anything I can do?
