Package: netcfg Version: 1.131 Followup-For: Bug #755848 As described in preseed example, setting 'netcfg/hostname' should "...force a hostname, regardless of what eigher the DHCP server returns...". This worked with latest wheezy installer. In jessie it doesn't.
'debconf-get-selections --installer' tells me, that my custom hostname was set correctly during installation. In sourcecode 'dhcp.c' of the netcfg-package (line 565-577) it's still present. But hostname still keeps 'debian'... -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
