Package: pinentry-gtk2 Version: 0.9.3-2 Severity: important Trying to sign any file fails with the following:
vauxhall no % gpg2 -b foo gpg: signing failed: No passphrase given gpg: signing failed: No passphrase given I'm prompted using pinentry-gtk2, and whether or not I select the option to integrate with the password manager, gpg produces the above error message. I've killed all existing gpg-agent and dirmngr processes, but it still doesn't help. I've also moved the gpg-agent.conf out of the way, which also doesn't help. I've tried switching to pinentry-curses, which seems to work fine after the update to 0.9.3-2. However, that isn't suitable for the general case, as I tend to use multiple terminal windows and GPG_TTY is not necessarily set. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.19.0-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages pinentry-gtk2 depends on: ii libc6 2.19-18 ii libglib2.0-0 2.44.1-1 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.25-3 ii libncursesw5 5.9+20150516-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.36.8-3 ii libsecret-1-0 0.18.2-1 ii libtinfo5 5.9+20150516-2 pinentry-gtk2 recommends no packages.
