Thanks for caring about fixing this bug in stable.
However, the debdiff that you attached is against the package in
unstable, which is currently the same as stable and does not contain the
bug fix. The expected workflow is that the bug is fixed in unstable and
we'd then look at fixing it in stable as well (in a package versioned
10+deb8u1 that was built and tested on stable).
