Package: virt-manager Version: 1:1.0.1-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Running virt-manager against qemu:///session, I tried to add a "org.qemu.guest_agent.0" channel to a VM without specifying where to put the host-side socket. Something, probably virt-manager, decided to put the socket in /home/naesten/.config/libvirt/qemu/lib/channel/target/Deadweight.org.qemu.guest_agent.0 (naesten is my username and Deadweight is the name of the virtual domain). This would be fine, except it then tried to ask qemu to add the device without ensuring that the directory /home/naesten/.config/libvirt/qemu/lib/channel/target/ existed, so QEMU gave the typical "No such file or directory" complaint. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages virt-manager depends on: ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.22.0-1 ii gconf2 3.2.6-3 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.14.5-1 ii gir1.2-gtk-vnc-2.0 0.5.3-1.3 ii gir1.2-libvirt-glib-1.0 0.1.9-4 ii gir1.2-vte-2.90 1:0.36.3-1 ii librsvg2-common 2.40.5-1 ii python-dbus 1.2.0-2+b3 ii python-gi 3.14.0-1 ii python-gi-cairo 3.14.0-1 ii python-ipaddr 2.1.11-2 ii python-libvirt 1.2.9-1 ii python-urlgrabber 3.9.1-4.1 pn python2.7:any <none> pn python:any <none> ii virtinst 1:1.0.1-5 Versions of packages virt-manager recommends: ii gir1.2-spice-client-gtk-3.0 0.25-1+b1 ii gnome-icon-theme 3.12.0-1 pn libvirt-daemon-system <none> Versions of packages virt-manager suggests: ii gnome-keyring 3.14.0-1+b1 ii python-gnomekeyring 2.32.0+dfsg-3 pn python-guestfs <none> ii ssh-askpass 1:1.2.4.1-9 ii virt-viewer 1.0-1 -- no debconf information -- Hi!
