Package: hylafax-client-dbg
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

upgrade wheezy to jessie

   * What exactly blabla

After upgrade to jessie it's not longer possible to send faxes via hylafax-
server. People try to send faxes from a windows machine get an error message
'Falscher User oder Passwort' (wrong Benutzer or password). The corresponding
error message in syslog on the fax server is "
pam_authenticate failed in pamCheck with 0x7: Authentication failure".

The same happens when faxing with sendfax.

After adding the users to hosts.hfaxd this error is gone, but for no good. Now
the clients don't get any response from the server and get stalled.

In the servers logs I see the messages
May 22 14:38:21 fax-server HylaFAX[4618]: `-> Got a: 172.16.2.222[16]
May 22 14:38:21 fax-server HylaFAX[4618]: `-> Got a: 51757[22]
May 22 14:38:21 fax-server HylaFAX[4618]: Filesystem has SysV-style file
creation semantics.
An empty file doc###.ps will be created beyond /var/spool/hylafax/tmp
and will be deleted after the client runs on a timeout

System information was attached by reportbug and is absolutely useless, since
hylafax runs on a completely different machine. Thatfor here some data from the
affected server:
