Package: sysv-rc Version: 2.88dsf-59.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I relatively recently switched to a separate /tmp partition mounted with option 'nexec'. But apparently the pre-configuration script for sysv-rc doesn't like it, as I seen this running aptitude for upgrading a lot of things, including sysv-rc: > Preconfiguring packages... > Can't exec "/tmp/sysv-rc.config.CDuxPn": Permission denied at > /usr/share/perl/5.20/IPC/Open3.pm line 177. > open2: exec of /tmp/sysv-rc.config.CDuxPn configure 2.88dsf-59 failed at > /usr/share/perl5/Debconf/ConfModule.pm line 59. The file /tmp/sysv-rc.config.CDuxPn is still present: > $ ls -l /tmp/sysv-rc.config.CDuxPn > -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 May 20 21:49 /tmp/sysv-rc.config.CDuxPn This doesn't seem to be fatal as the rest of the process continued and seem to have succeeded. I don't know the implications of these messages, but this should be fixed, as I believe noexec on /tmp should be supported.
