I suppose a clone would have been more appropriate, though? I think the separate package should be fixed first, otherwise installing that on top of the core version will reintroduce the bug. Furthermore, the Module::Build version in the perl core doesn't have many months of life left, as it's gone in 5.22. I guess we can patch it for the short time it has, though.
