well i would not prefer, however i will add it to the default
configuration, so if someone wants to change it he has to look for :-)

USB ports? (It looks like almost all new models from APC come with a USB

Ha,then you're broken like me :-), because
only low-level price UPS comes with just usb and serial is still a good
choiche.
Also USB is not so stable (but is getting better day by day) so the
default is still for serial UPS .
