Recent upgrade from version 1.8.16 to 1.8.18 leads to the following error during the boot process: /usr/bin/dbus-uuidgen: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/dbus-uuidgen: undefined symbol: dbus_internal_do_not_use_create_uuid This leads to many applications failing to run properly including kde, network-manager, power.
