Hi bugs-everywhere maintainer-- This is in regards to https://bugs.debian.org/734288 :
It is not a "small typo" to use the female pronoun to refer to someone in the package description, it is simply a choice of what gender to use to represent a possible debian user. Please do not change that in the bugs-everywhere package description, it's nice to have a range of package descriptions which acknowledge the diversity of debian users. If anyone really wants to file bugs about gendered pronouns in package descriptions, they could start by filing them against the packages that use the male pronoun, which are far more common than those that include the female pronoun. As a rough count: 0 dkg@alice:~$ apt-cache search ' he ' | wc -l 57 0 dkg@alice:~$ apt-cache search ' she ' | wc -l 3 0 dkg@alice:~$ apt-cache search ' \(s\)he ' | wc -l 3 0 dkg@alice:~$ I recommend marking #734288 wontfix, and closing it.
