I disagree with the “should” assertion above. If the package has
reverse-dependencies that are team-maintained, the maintainer is under
no additional obligation to change the package's maintenance.

As it is, I'm already convinced that ‘python-lockfile’ should
eventually migrate to team maintenance by the DPMT, independent of the
above argument.

Great! This is definitely on the list of changes I want to make for
