No questions there.  Team maintainership is better in general because it
spreads the load and gives the maintainer some backup and consultation.  It
also fosters collaboration across the wider Debian Python ecosystem so that
people feel empowered and encouraged to help out where they can.  Private
maintainership is demoralizing.

pip is team maintained, so if you don't like the way it's currently
maintained, folks are welcome and encouraged to help out.
