Package: id3v2 Version: 0.1.12-2.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** id3v2 fails when invoked on a nonexistent file, but returns 0 to the shell, so the shell doesn't recognise the failure. Reproduce as follows (for example): > id3v2 --track=1/1 nonexistent_file.mp3 Couldn't stat file 'nonexistent_file.mp3' > echo $? 0 I'd expect the $? above to be 1 (failure), not 0. Without this scripts that use id3v2 erroneously run past failures. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages id3v2 depends on: ii libc6 2.19-18 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.2-10 ii libid3-3.8.3c2a 3.8.3-15 ii libstdc++6 4.9.2-10 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-2+b1 id3v2 recommends no packages. id3v2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
