To what command are you referring?  There is no time-sync comand in
Debian that I can locate.  Please give verbatim the command that you
are having trouble with.

Note that the 'time' command (both the builtin to the shell and the
standalone package) does not set the time on the computer but time the
amount of time taken by commands.  But if you say what package you are
using we can reassign the bug to that package.
