This is what the circular dependency was for wasn't it (dpkg didn't used
to cope I believe)?

Again, *please* provide reproduction instructions when reporting things
- extremely long command lines (especially system specific ones) buried
in the middle of logs are not really doing that.

I'm not sure it's a useful use of time for anyone not doing automated
testing.

IIRC they're used by the binaries.

I at least had to rewrite the changelog.  Are you *positive* you tested
every case here fully from a clean system with your modifications?

In any case I've added the empty directory.
