Package: xine-ui Version: 0.99.3-1
Description *********** After upgrading to kernel 2.6.8, xine crashes with a SIGSEGV when it is started with a .ts file that previously played fine. Apparently a similar crash happens with all video files. The crash apparently has something to do with the sound drivers: When starting xine after an initial boot, the video will show but no sound is audible. When starting xine again after aumix or splay or some other application has been used, xine will just crash with the SIGSEGV. According to the core file, the crash seems to appear somewhere in the pthread signal handler after calling snd_mixer_selem_get_playback_volume from libasound.so.2. I have provided a core dump file and a stack trace on http://www.clausfischer.com/xine in case you want to examine that in more detail.
