I now have one system with NetworkManager (via nm-applet) and it works
fine (with regards to permissions at least).
Since that leaves basically no issue in this report anymore, I'm
tempted to even close this bug report. Maybe Michael's logind-patch
fixed all of the symptoms without bothering ConsoleKit.
