The next (or second-next) lintian release will contain an (initially experimental) warning for such cases. That lintian test currently already exists in pkg-perl-tools in the "pkg-perl" lintian profile: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-perl/packages/pkg-perl-tools.git/tree/lintian/checks/pkg-perl/application-not-library.pm https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-perl/packages/pkg-perl-tools.git/tree/lintian/checks/pkg-perl/application-not-library.desc (So Damyan maybe already knows about it. :-) But it is mostly not perl-specific and that's the reason why it will be moved to lintian after the Jessie release. :-) > Package section descriptions for “unstable” are listed at > <URL:https://packages.debian.org/unstable/>. Thanks for that idea! That makes a good hint for the full description of the lintian warning.
