Hey Frédéric,
Thanks a lot for providing a patch for this issue!
Note that I’m going to fix this, but not by applying your patch.
Instead, I’ll simplify the script (dropping the whole heredoc code
block)
between the postrotate/endscript directives in the chrony’s logrotate
config file.
Obviously, I’ll credit you for the diagnostic of this issue in the
changelog.
