laptop-mode-tools is a package full of hacks. We shouldn't promote its usage. Also, hibernate works fine here without laptop-mode-tools or pm-utils being installed. So I suspect your issue is somewhere else. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
