If you look at some of the recent issues (e.g.
https://github.com/IgnorantGuru/udevil/issues/54) you will find that new
features are planned and discussed. Looking at the milestones (
https://github.com/IgnorantGuru/udevil/milestones), something is going on.
It may not be super alive in terms of commits, but AFAIK that is not a
requirement for packages to be in Debian as long is it works reliably.
Udevil is a reasonably mature piece of SW and it does what it should so it
may not be developed so actively.
Udevil (and devmon) is one of the few userspace (auto)mounting suites that
are DE agnostic and it would be a loss for people that don't use a full DE.
