Start with commit tagged 0.9.10.0 as good and 1.0.0 as bad (sounds illogical, but you'll need to inverse good/bad for git bisect in this case). There aren't really that many patches in the Debian package, at least not one which should influence the behaviour for this particular issue. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
