Package: lvm2 Version: 2.02.111-2.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
following the latest upgrade, which included a systemd and kernel upgrade, I get warnings in vgdisplay like: WARNING: lvmetad is running but disabled. Restart lvmetad before enabling it! Also troubling: # systemctl status lvm2-lvmetad ● lvm2-lvmetad.service - LVM2 metadata daemon Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/lvm2-lvmetad.service; static) Active: inactive (dead) Docs: man:lvmetad(8) These warnings appeared during the upgrade and persisted even after reboot. As yet, I cannot see any real issues concerning the LVM data. However, since I never manually interfered with any lvm2 settings and it appears the same way on two Jessie systems, I assume that something is incorrect with the lvm2 to systemd integration. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages lvm2 depends on: ii dmeventd 2:1.02.90-2.1 ii dmsetup 2:1.02.90-2.1 ii init-system-helpers 1.22 ii initscripts 2.88dsf-59 ii libc6 2.19-17 ii libdevmapper-event1.02.1 2:1.02.90-2.1 ii libdevmapper1.02.1 2:1.02.90-2.1 ii libreadline5 5.2+dfsg-2 ii libudev1 215-14 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian13+nmu1 lvm2 recommends no packages.
